I genuinely don't know if I want to let this one go!

There are beautiful Moonstones and then occasionally there are pieces that make you stop because you can't quite believe what the light is doing inside them. This is one of those. I could honestly sit and move it backwards and forwards for ages. The flash seems to travel through the stone in several different directions, lighting up the natural layers within it before suddenly appearing somewhere completely different.

But Moonstone is about more than being beautiful. I think it's such a lovely crystal for those times when you don't quite know what comes next. When your head is full of everybody else's opinions, you're questioning yourself or you're putting pressure on yourself to have everything worked out.

It's traditionally associated with intuition and new beginnings and for me it's that reminder that you don't always need the whole plan. Sometimes you already know more than you think you do. You just need enough space to hear yourself.

This is an exceptional one-of-a-kind Rainbow Moonstone and quite honestly one of the most mesmerising pieces I've come across.

The stone has a beautiful clarity and translucency that allows you to see into its natural internal structure, while the extraordinary flash seems to illuminate different layers from within. Rather than appearing as one simple sheen across the surface, the light catches different internal planes and growth formations, revealing layers and depth within the stone as you move it.

Then the flash changes direction completely. Vivid blue appears alongside softer rainbow tones and at certain angles the optical effect is almost reminiscent of Labradorite. Some areas become extraordinarily bright, while others allow you to see through into the beautiful natural structure beneath.

It is that combination of clarity, internal layering and incredibly strong multidirectional flash that makes this particular Moonstone so special. It doesn't simply flash blue. It seems to have light moving through it.

Still photography really can't capture what this stone does. Its full character only reveals itself through movement and changing light and it is utterly mesmerising to watch.
