At Moon and Earth, giving back is at the heart of what we do. We honour the Earth by being conscious in how we run our business—sourcing crystals ethically, using sustainable practices, and being mindful of our impact. Now, we are extending that commitment to include our oceans.

The sea is not just a place to make a living—it’s also a place of healing and connection. Walking the shoreline, swimming in the waves, and feeling the Ocean’s energy are part of our self-care. It’s a space that gives so much, yet often receives so little in return.

Supporting charities that protect and restore our environment is one way we can give back. That’s why we are proud to support the Mini Meadows initiative—an incredible project working to protect and restore vital seagrass habitats. A percentage of every order placed with us goes towards funding this cause, so when you shop with us, you’re not only supporting ethical crystal sourcing but also helping to care for the world’s waters.

Why Seagrass Matters

The Ocean covers two-thirds of our planet and is the world’s largest ecosystem, but it urgently needs more investment. At a time when we need to mitigate the effects of climate change, some of the greatest carbon-capturing habitats are being damaged and degraded.

Seagrass is one of nature’s greatest climate allies. It captures carbon up to 35 times faster than tropical rainforests, produces oxygen, protects coastlines from erosion, and provides a sanctuary for over 1,000 fish and invertebrates. Yet, despite its incredible benefits, seagrass habitats are in decline, reducing their capacity to support marine life and capture carbon.

Mini Meadows - A Holistic Solution

Blue Meadows is our holistic approach to seagrass protection, regeneration, and restoration. We have spent over a decade refining our expertise and expanding our knowledge, creating processes that can make a meaningful difference. Now, we are scaling up this critical programme with the help of the new Mini Meadows initiative.

Mini Meadows is a nature-based solution to climate change and biodiversity loss. It combines the protection of existing seagrass areas—many of which are nationally declining—with the restoration of new sites. One Mini Meadow covers 10 square metres of seagrass and needs just £10 per year to support conservation activities. Each Mini Meadow has the potential to:

  • Capture 3.2kg of carbon

  • Capture 0.05kg of nitrogen

  • Provide a sanctuary for over 1,000 marine species

  • Support oxygen production

  • Prevent coastal erosion
