This is also such a beautiful formation. I love that you can still see so much of the natural Amethyst crystal growth while the Titanium Aura creates completely different colours depending on the angle and light.

What is Titanium Aura Amethyst?

Titanium Aura Amethyst begins as natural Amethyst which is then treated using a specialist process where vaporised metals, primarily titanium, are bonded to the surface of the crystal. This creates the intense rainbow iridescence without dyeing the underlying Amethyst.

The resulting colours can include purple, blue, turquoise, green, pink and gold and can change dramatically according to the direction and strength of the light.

The underlying Amethyst is therefore completely natural, while the rainbow metallic finish is created through the Aura treatment. I think it's important to be transparent about this because the treatment is part of what makes these crystals what they are.

This is a wonderfully substantial Titanium Aura Amethyst formation with a broad area of exposed sparkling crystals surrounded by an intense metallic Aura finish.

The colours are incredible. Depending on the angle, the surface moves through rich purple and magenta into electric blue, turquoise, gold and rainbow flashes. The Aura treatment also catches the individual Amethyst crystals, creating tiny flashes of colour throughout the crystal-lined opening.

At 739g, it has plenty of presence without being so large that it becomes difficult to place.
