Lemurian Quartz originates from Brazil and is recognised by the distinctive horizontal striations found across its natural faces. Within crystal healing traditions, Lemurians are believed to carry ancient wisdom and knowledge, with the striations sometimes described as energetic records that can be explored through meditation and touch. Why I Chose This Crystal

Lemurian Quartz is a crystal I deeply resonate with and one I work with personally all the time. I wear it, keep it around my home and use larger pieces to hold the energy of yoga classes, women's circles, sound baths and retreats. I am very particular about the Lemurians I source and only buy genuine pieces through longstanding connections with ethical and reliable suppliers. What I particularly love about this one is how much of its natural formation you can still see and feel. It has beautiful striations across almost every side, window-like faces towards the termination and a wonderfully tactile base where you can see how the crystal has grown from and separated from its original formation. There are also areas of natural self-healing around the base. It is chunky and substantial but still fits beautifully into the hand and my thumb naturally finds the textured areas when I hold it.

ENERGETIC PROPERTIES

This is a beautiful example of why I am so drawn to completely natural Lemurians. Almost every side carries visible striations and towards the termination are fascinating window-like faces. Around the base you can see areas of self-healing alongside the raw textures created as the crystal naturally formed and separated from its original growth.

The termination also has a small natural indentation. This is not damage but part of the crystal's completely natural formation and I love that these features have been left untouched rather than polished away. Its deep Smokey colour, preserved growth patterns and substantial 345g weight give this piece a wonderful presence whilst still allowing it to be comfortably held and worked with.

HOW TO WORK WITH THIS CRYSTAL

Remove your Smokey Lemurian from its stand and spend some time simply exploring the crystal with your hands. Gently trace the horizontal striations with your thumb or fingertips and notice the changing textures around the self-healed base. You do not need to force an experience. Allow yourself to slow down and notice any thoughts, sensations or intuitive impressions that arise.

You can also work with this piece during meditation, intention setting, Reiki, yoga, sound work or within a crystal grid. When you are not actively working with it, return it to its wooden stand and allow it to hold space within your home or sacred space.
