Why I Chose This Crystal

Selenite is one of my absolute essentials. I use it all the time for cleansing crystals and jewellery and I love having it around the home because its energy feels so calm and clear.

I particularly like Selenite in a sphere because it becomes something you can both display and actually pick up and work with. These are a lovely size to hold during meditation or simply keep beside your bed, on your desk or somewhere you spend a lot of time.

There's also something really beautiful about the way Selenite looks in this shape. Its natural fibres catch the light and create that wonderful silky glow across the sphere as you turn it.

Energetic Properties

Selenite has a naturally fibrous structure and polishing it into a sphere really shows off its beautiful luminous quality.

As you turn the sphere, you'll see silky bands of light moving across the surface as the individual fibres interact with the light. Each sphere will have its own variations in translucency, fibres and natural markings.

I love the simplicity of these. They're small enough to sit almost anywhere but the combination of the spherical shape and luminous Selenite gives them a beautiful presence.

How to Work With This Crystal

You don't need a complicated ritual to work with Selenite. Simply place your sphere somewhere you naturally spend time, whether that's beside your bed, on your desk or within your meditation space.

You can hold it during meditation, perhaps setting an intention to let go of some of the mental or energetic clutter you've accumulated during the day.

Selenite is also traditionally used for cleansing other crystals, so you can place smaller crystals or jewellery beside your sphere when you're not using them.

Selenite should always be kept dry. It is an exceptionally soft mineral and prolonged exposure to water can damage its surface and structure.

A simple, discreet wooden sphere stand is included with your crystal, allowing you to display it safely while keeping the focus on the crystal itself.

Because these spheres are individually carved and polished from natural Selenite, there may be slight variations in size, weight, fibres, translucency and natural surface markings.

Selenite is exceptionally soft and can be scratched with a fingernail. Small surface marks, fine scratches, natural fibres and occasional areas of flaking can occur even with careful handling. These are characteristics of the mineral rather than necessarily being damage.

Please keep your Selenite dry and handle it with care.
