Why I Chose This Crystal

I absolutely love the Ruby in this sphere. There are beautiful areas of pink and deep raspberry running through the green and you can really see the relationship between the two minerals as you turn the piece.

Energetically, that combination is also what draws me to Ruby Zoisite. For me, this isn't simply a crystal for healing. It feels like a crystal for what comes afterwards, when you are ready to reconnect with your energy, confidence and the things that make you feel alive again. What is Ruby Zoisite?

Ruby Zoisite is a naturally occurring combination of green Zoisite and Ruby, often accompanied by contrasting darker mineral inclusions. It is also sometimes known as Anyolite.

The two minerals occurring together create its unmistakable appearance, with rich green Zoisite providing the background for natural areas of pink, red and deep burgundy Ruby. Every piece develops differently, making the distribution and intensity of the Ruby completely individual.

I love the contrast in this particular piece. The Ruby ranges from smaller raspberry-coloured areas to much larger patches of pink-red, surrounded by green Zoisite and contrasting black mineral inclusions. As you turn the sphere, completely different patterns reveal themselves.
