Star Garnet is such a beautiful and unusual variety of Garnet. I love the depth of these stones, with their rich, almost black burgundy colour and the natural star effect that reveals itself when the light catches them.

Star Garnet is a variety of Garnet that can display a natural optical effect known as asterism. Fine inclusions within the crystal reflect light to create a star-like pattern across its polished surface, which becomes most visible under a strong, direct light source.
