ABOUT THE MAKER

This collection of beeswax candles began as a heartfelt hobby combining candle making and beekeeping to support its maker through college. Over time, the craft grew into a full-time passion rooted in sustainability and a deep respect for nature and the bees themselves.

All candles are made in a Devon workshop using pure beeswax sourced from local South West beekeepers. Traditional hand-dipping techniques learned from a master chandler in Denmark are used for taper candles, while unique shapes, like this mini pumpkin, are individually hand poured using tailor-made moulds.

Each batch of wax and wick combination is tested to ensure a perfect, even burn. Every candle is designed to burn beautifully, efficiently and cleanly — a true testament to slow, sustainable craftsmanship.

ABOUT THE BEES

The hives are nestled across the South West in parklands, moorlands, nature reserves and along riverbanks — areas rich with wildflowers and free from harmful pesticides. The bees thrive in this diverse and gentle climate, even staying active through the winter months.

Each teaspoon of honey takes a bee its lifetime to produce, and around 450 bees are needed to create just one pound of beeswax. This sacred process reminds us of the true value of every drop of wax that goes into these candles.

The beeswax is carefully cleaned, filtered and processed by hand using traditional methods, ensuring every candle carries the integrity of a handmade piece from hive to home. Variations in shade are natural and beautiful, reflecting the pollen gathered by the bees.
