The reverse retains its original raw mineral texture, with further unexpected flashes of colour amongst the darker stone. There is something quite extraordinary about Labradorite when you find a piece with this much flash, and this one has a combination I find genuinely captivating. That enormous area of warm gold, almost like sunlight, surrounded by electric blue and turquoise. And then as you move it, softer copper and pinkish tones begin to appear alongside those beautiful fine lines running through the polished face, creating patterns across the golden areas that almost look like an aerial view of a landscape.

And then you turn it over and there's something entirely different. The darker rougher mineral surface with its natural textures and those unexpected little flashes of blue and gold appearing where you least expect them.

I've always found that contrast particularly meaningful with Labradorite, because I don't think transformation necessarily means becoming someone entirely different. Sometimes it's about recognising something that was already there. A strength we hadn't acknowledged. An instinct we'd been quietly ignoring. The confidence to make a decision that feels right for us even when other people might not fully understand it.
