Why I Chose This Crystal

Selenite is one of my absolute essentials and it's the crystal I use most for cleansing my own crystals and jewellery. Charging plates make that so simple. You can take off the crystals you've been wearing, place them on the plate and leave them there overnight.

I particularly love the lotus on these because of everything it represents. A lotus grows from the mud and rises towards the light, which is such a beautiful symbol for those times in life when we're growing through something difficult or finding our way into a new chapter.

Combined with Selenite, it feels like a really lovely piece for clearing away what you no longer need and creating space for whatever comes next.

What does the lotus symbol mean?

These charging plates are cut into a hexagonal shape and etched with a beautiful lotus design.

Natural Selenite has a fibrous structure which creates its characteristic silky, luminous appearance. As the light moves across the plate, you'll see subtle bands and changes within the crystal rather than a completely uniform white surface.

I love how the geometry of the hexagonal shape frames the softer lotus design. Combined with the natural luminosity of Selenite, it creates a really beautiful piece that can be left out on display rather than tucked away between uses.

How to Work With This Crystal

For everyday crystal cleansing, simply place your crystals or jewellery onto the Selenite plate when you're finished using them. I particularly like doing this overnight so your favourite pieces have a dedicated place to rest until you're ready to use them again.

You can also use the lotus more intentionally. If you're moving through change or beginning something new, choose a crystal that represents what you'd like to bring into the next chapter and place it over the lotus. You could set an intention, journal beside it or simply leave your crystal there as a physical reminder of what you're working towards.

Selenite should always be kept dry. It is an exceptionally soft mineral and prolonged exposure to water can damage its surface and structure.

Because these plates are individually cut and etched from natural Selenite, there may be slight variations in dimensions, shape, fibres, translucency and surface markings. The lotus etching may also sit very slightly differently from one piece to another.

Selenite is exceptionally soft and can be scratched with a fingernail. Small surface marks, fine scratches, natural fibres and occasional areas of flaking can occur even with careful handling. These are characteristics of Selenite rather than necessarily being damage.

Please keep your Selenite dry and handle it with care.
