Why I Chose This Crystal

The colour of the Lepidolite in this one is really unusual. It's much cooler than the purple Lepidolite we normally see, almost moving into blue in places with these beautiful lilac tones running through it. It's stunning and almost glows.

But it's the Pink Tourmaline that really makes this piece for me. There are little pink formations appearing across so many different areas, almost like tiny flowers growing amongst the Lepidolite and Smokey Quartz. Every time you turn it you seem to find another one.

It's also a really substantial point at almost a kilo and 180mm tall. There is so much natural mineral variation to explore and it feels completely different from the darker purple Lepidolite points alongside it.

What is Lepidolite used for?

Lepidolite is traditionally associated with emotional balance, calm, transition and releasing patterns that no longer serve us. It is a lithium-bearing mica mineral and this natural composition has contributed to its longstanding association within crystal traditions with soothing and emotional equilibrium, although this should not be confused with the medical use of lithium.

People are often drawn to Lepidolite when life is changing or when they know something needs to shift but are finding the transition difficult. In this specimen, its natural combination with grounding Smokey Quartz and heart-centred Pink Tourmaline creates a particularly beautiful crystal to work with when change requires both strength and self-compassion.

This is an exceptional multi-mineral Lepidolite point with a particularly unusual colour palette.

Rather than the warmer, deeper purple often associated with Lepidolite, this specimen moves through cool lilac, violet and almost blue-toned areas. Smokey Quartz runs throughout the piece, creating darker translucent sections and adding even more depth to the colouring.

What makes this specimen especially beautiful are the Pink Tourmaline formations appearing across multiple areas of the point. Against the cool-toned Lepidolite, these little flashes of pink really stand out, some appearing almost like tiny mineral flowers embedded within the stone.

There are also naturally pale and translucent mineral areas running amongst the Lepidolite, Smokey Quartz and Tourmaline, adding further contrast and showing just how complex the natural formation is.

At 977g and 180mm tall, this is a substantial statement point with plenty of presence and completely different details revealed as it is viewed from each side.
