Why I Chose This Crystal

What I love about this Labradorite is how different it feels from some of the more dramatic pieces I've chosen. The flash is beautiful, but there's something softer about it. Rather than one enormous sweep of gold or blue, lovely areas of colour appear throughout the stone, revealing themselves gradually as you move it and find different angles. I love that there's something to discover on both sides.

But what particularly drew me to this piece was how it feels in the hand. Beautifully smooth and rounded, with a lovely weight to it. One of those crystals you naturally want to pick up and hold, and then find yourself still holding ten minutes later.

Labradorite has always felt to me like a crystal about trusting your own inner knowing, and I think that quality sits particularly well in a piece like this. Because change can ask us to make decisions before we feel entirely ready. Sometimes we don't have all the information. Sometimes other people have strong ideas about what we should do. And sometimes we simply know, somewhere within ourselves, that something needs to shift, even when we haven't yet worked out exactly how.
