Why I Chose This Crystal

It was the colour and patterning that first drew me to these. There are so many different shades of green within them and I love the way the deeper areas sit alongside those softer cream and almost mossy tones. Every point feels completely different.

Energetically, Kiwi Opal feels very connected with renewal and growth to me. It has that beautiful green Heart Chakra energy, but it feels grounded rather than overly soft. I particularly like it for those times when you know you're changing and growing but need to give yourself the time and space to do that gently.

Kiwi Opal is the trade name used for this distinctive green opal material, prized for its varied green colouring and naturally patterned appearance. Unlike precious opal, it is appreciated for its colour, texture and mineral patterning rather than a strong play of rainbow colour.

The Madagascan material can be wonderfully varied, moving from pale yellow-green and cream through to rich olive and deep forest green. Natural inclusions, veins and changes in colour are all part of its character, meaning no two pieces will ever look exactly alike.
