This completely one-of-a-kind Labradorite necklace has been individually handcrafted in copper using the electroforming process. The stone has an incredible mixture of rich colour, with flashes of teal, blue, green, gold, purple and pink appearing as it moves through the light. Handmade by an independent UK artisan, this is an intentionally organic and rustic piece of jewellery where the individuality of both the crystal and the copperwork is part of its beauty.

Why I Chose This Crystal

The colours in this piece immediately remind me of a peacock feather. There are these gorgeous rich blues and teals, but then as you move it you begin to see greens, golds, purples and flashes of pink appearing through the stone.

I love Labradorite for those times when we're changing, growing or simply need to trust ourselves a little more. Traditionally associated with intuition, protection and transformation, it feels particularly meaningful when you're learning to listen to yourself and trust where life is taking you.

This is an exceptionally colourful piece of Labradorite. Rather than one dominant flash, different colours reveal themselves as the pendant moves, with rich teal, blue, green, gold, purple and pink creating an almost peacock-like effect across the stone.

Labradorite is incredibly responsive to light and its full colour can be difficult to capture in still photography. This piece really comes alive with movement, revealing different areas of colour depending on the angle and light.

The copper has been electroformed directly around the crystal, creating an organic setting that allows the natural shape, character and extraordinary colour of the Labradorite to remain the focus.

THE ART OF ELECTROFORMED JEWELLERY

Electroformed jewellery is intentionally different from traditionally polished fine jewellery.

Each piece is individually created through a process in which copper is gradually formed around the crystal. The resulting surface can be wonderfully organic and rustic, with natural variations in texture, shape, colour and finish.

These characteristics are part of the piece rather than imperfections. No two settings form in precisely the same way, meaning the finished necklace is genuinely individual.

If you prefer perfectly smooth, symmetrical and highly polished jewellery, this style may not be for you. If you love jewellery that feels earthy, handcrafted and completely unique, that individuality is part of what makes these pieces so special.

Copper will also naturally change and develop a patina with time. Areas of deeper colour or green can appear as the copper reacts naturally with air, moisture and its surroundings. This is a normal characteristic of copper and part of the evolving character of the piece.
