This Black Phantom Lemurian Quartz is an unusual double terminated formation with incredible clarity, distinct dark phantom markings, delicate internal veils and areas of sparkling natural matrix. Its compact, diamond-like shape is beautifully reminiscent of a Herkimer Diamond, although this is a genuine Lemurian Quartz rather than Herkimer Quartz. Polishing reveals the extraordinary internal landscape whilst areas of the original natural formation and matrix remain visible. Phantom Quartz records earlier stages in a crystal's growth which is why it has become so beautifully associated with transformation, growth and everything we gather along the way.

Lemurian Quartz is recognised by its distinctive horizontal striations and is traditionally associated with ancient wisdom, spiritual connection and accessing higher consciousness. Originally associated with discoveries in Brazil, Lemurian crystals take their name from the spiritual belief that their striations hold the wisdom of the ancient civilisation of Lemuria.

Why I Chose This Crystal

This immediately reminded me of a Herkimer Diamond and I absolutely love its shape. There is so much happening inside it, from the dark phantoms and soft veils to those little areas of sparkle and matrix. I love crystals like this because you can look into them again and again and always seem to find something you hadn't noticed before.
