Black Moonstone Palm Stone

Natural Madagascan Black Moonstone for grounding, new beginnings, emotional balance and intuition

These beautiful Black Moonstone Palm Stones from Madagascar have a wonderfully grounding quality while retaining the softer, intuitive energy traditionally associated with Moonstone. Black Moonstone is particularly connected with the Dark Moon and New Moon, making it a meaningful crystal for new beginnings, intention setting and those periods when we're moving into something new but want to remain grounded and emotionally balanced as we do so.

Why I Chose This Crystal

I adore Black Moonstone, it feels quite different from other varieties of Moonstone. It still has that beautiful connection with intuition and cycles, but there's something much more grounding about it.

For me, it's particularly suited to those moments when something new is beginning. There's often excitement around a new chapter, but there can also be uncertainty, and I like Black Moonstone for helping us stay grounded in ourselves while trusting what is beginning to unfold. I personally love to work with it around the dark, new moon phase.

What is Black Moonstone used for?

Black Moonstone is traditionally associated with the Dark Moon and New Moon, the part of the lunar cycle connected with turning inward, setting intentions and preparing for a new beginning.

It is often worked with when beginning a new chapter, making a change or planting the seeds of something we want to bring into our lives. Its grounding qualities can help bring a sense of steadiness to this process, while its connection with Moonstone encourages intuition and trust in our own inner guidance.

It is also traditionally associated with emotional balance, protection and helping us remain centred during periods of uncertainty or change.

Spiritual & Metaphysical Benefits

Black Moonstone is traditionally associated with intuition, new beginnings, protection and the cycles of the Moon.

Its connection with the Dark Moon and New Moon makes it particularly meaningful for intention setting, reflection and the quieter stages of transformation, when something new may be beginning before we can fully see where it will lead.

Mental & Emotional Healing

Black Moonstone is traditionally worked with for emotional balance, resilience and remaining grounded through change.

It can be particularly supportive when you're entering unfamiliar territory, feeling unsettled or simply need some space to listen to yourself before deciding what comes next.

Within traditional crystal healing practices, Moonstone has been associated with the body's natural cycles, hormonal balance and rest.

Energetic Properties

These Black Moonstone Palm Stones have been ethically sourced from Madagascar and individually selected for their quality and natural character.

Each piece has its own combination of black, charcoal, grey, cream and earthy tones, with natural markings and patterning running through the stone. The smooth polished palm shape makes them particularly lovely crystals to hold during meditation, reflection or grounding practices.

Black Moonstone combines the intuitive, cyclical qualities associated with Moonstone with a deeper grounding energy, making it particularly suited to times of transition and new beginnings.

How to Work With This Crystal

The New Moon is a beautiful time to sit quietly with your Black Moonstone and consider what you would like to invite into the next stage of your life.

Rather than feeling that you need to have everything worked out, you might simply hold the crystal and consider what you would like to begin, what you are ready to leave behind and how you would like to feel as you move forward.

Outside lunar practice, these palm stones are also lovely to simply hold whenever you need to slow down, ground yourself and reconnect with your own intuition.
