This Aura Drusy Agate Heart from Brazil is a substantial statement piece combining beautifully defined natural Agate banding with a sparkling drusy Quartz pocket and deep iridescent Aura finish. Agate is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and emotional balance while drusy Quartz is believed to amplify energy and intention. The Aura treatment brings additional associations with confidence, energetic cleansing and transformation, creating a crystal that combines grounding with a more uplifting, empowering energy.

Why I Chose This Crystal

I love the depth of colour in this one. It's much darker than some of the other Aura Agate hearts, but you can still see those beautiful layers of natural Agate banding surrounding the sparkling drusy centre.

Turn it around and the polished back is just as interesting, with a window into the Agate that allows you to see more of its natural formation. I love crystals like this where there's something completely different to discover depending on which way you look at them.

Energetically, Agate brings that steady, grounding quality while Aura energy is associated with confidence, vitality and transformation. I think the combination works particularly well when you're navigating change but still want to feel anchored in yourself.

What is Aura Drusy Agate?

Agate forms gradually as silica is deposited in layers within cavities in rock. These repeated layers create the characteristic bands and patterns that make every piece of Agate completely individual.

When part of the original cavity remains open, tiny Quartz crystals can grow across its surface, forming the sparkling crystal pocket known as drusy.

This piece has subsequently undergone an Aura treatment where a very fine metallic coating is bonded to the crystal surface to create its iridescent finish. The Agate and drusy Quartz underneath are natural while the metallic Aura colouring is created through this treatment.

Energetic Properties

This is one of the more substantial Aura Agate hearts in the collection and I particularly love its darker colouring. Layers of grey, blue and softly lilac Agate create clearly visible banding around the central drusy pocket, which is filled with tiny sparkling Quartz crystals.

The deeper Aura finish adds flashes of blue, violet, green and gold as the light moves across the polished surface without disguising the natural pattern of the Agate underneath.

The reverse has also been beautifully polished and includes a natural window into the Agate, revealing another aspect of its internal formation.

At almost 1kg, this has a real presence on its stand and makes a beautiful statement crystal.

How to Work With This Crystal

This would be particularly lovely to work with when you're moving through a significant period of change and want to remain grounded in yourself while doing so.
