This Aura Drusy Agate Heart from Brazil combines naturally banded Agate with a small sparkling drusy Quartz cavity and an iridescent Aura finish. Agate is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and emotional balance while drusy Quartz is believed to amplify energy and intention. The Aura treatment brings additional associations with confidence, positivity and transformation, making this a lovely crystal for remaining grounded while moving through change.

Why I Chose This Crystal

I really love the natural formation in this one. From the front you have that beautiful polished Aura surface with a little sparkling crystal cave, but turn it around and you can see so much more of how the Agate has formed.

The polished back reveals the natural matrix alongside areas of Agate banding and I love being able to see that contrast between the raw formation and the finished crystal. It gives this little heart so much character.

Energetically, Agate brings that grounding and steadying quality while the Aura energy adds confidence, positivity and transformation. I think they work beautifully together.

What is Aura Drusy Agate?

Agate forms when silica-rich material is deposited gradually in layers, creating the characteristic bands visible within the stone. These layers can form within cavities in the host rock and sometimes part of that original matrix remains visible, giving us a glimpse into how the Agate developed.

Where a cavity remains open, tiny Quartz crystals can continue to grow across its surface, creating the sparkling formation known as drusy. This heart has then undergone an Aura treatment where a very fine metallic coating is bonded to the surface to create its iridescent finish.

The underlying Agate, matrix and drusy Quartz are natural while the metallic Aura colouring is created through this treatment.

The polished reverse is particularly interesting, revealing areas of natural matrix alongside the Agate itself. You can clearly see the banding and different stages of the formation, making the back every bit as interesting as the front.

Its Aura finish shifts subtly through silver, blue, violet and warmer golden tones as the light changes.
