This Aura Drusy Agate Heart from Brazil combines naturally banded Agate with an exceptionally sparkling drusy Quartz centre and a softer silvery Aura finish. Agate is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and emotional balance while drusy Quartz is believed to amplify energy and intention. The Aura treatment brings additional associations with energetic cleansing, positivity, confidence and transformation, creating a piece that feels grounding while still having a lighter, uplifting quality.

Why I Chose This Crystal

The drusy is incredibly sparkly on this one and when you move it through the light you get tiny rainbow flashes across the crystals, almost like glitter.

I also love the softer silvery Aura on this piece. You can still see the natural Agate beneath it and the polished back reveals even more of its natural formation. Energetically, I really like that combination of Agate's grounding, steadying energy with the more uplifting qualities traditionally associated with Aura crystals.

What is Aura Drusy Agate?

Agate forms gradually in layers, creating distinctive bands, colours and patterns. Sometimes cavities remain within the Agate where tiny Quartz crystals grow, creating the sparkling crystalline surface known as drusy.

This piece has subsequently undergone an Aura treatment where a very fine metallic coating is bonded to the crystal surface to create its iridescent finish. The underlying Agate and drusy Quartz are natural while the silvery, rainbow colouring is created through this treatment.

Energetic Properties

This piece has a much lighter, silvery appearance than some of the other Aura Agate hearts and the drusy centre is particularly beautiful. Hundreds of tiny crystals create an almost glitter-like sparkle with little rainbow flashes appearing as you move it through the light.

The polished reverse reveals the natural grey Agate beneath the Aura treatment along with areas of natural matrix and formation, giving you a completely different view of the stone from the back.

There is also a naturally occurring seam within the Agate on the reverse of the heart, which can be seen in the additional photograph. This is part of the crystal's natural formation rather than damage or a fault and does not affect the stability of the piece.

How to Work With This Crystal

This would be a lovely crystal to work with when you're moving through a period of change but want to remain grounded and connected to yourself.
