Why I Chose This Crystal

I love that you can still see so much of the natural Agate in this piece. The banding is beautiful, particularly when you turn it around and see the polished back, then at the centre you have this incredibly sparkly drusy pocket.

I also really like the combination energetically. Agate has such a steadying, grounding quality while Aura energy is associated with confidence, vitality and transformation. For me, it makes this a lovely crystal for embracing change without losing that sense of stability underneath you.

What is Aura Drusy Agate?

Agate forms in layers, creating the distinctive bands and patterns that make every piece completely individual. Within some formations, tiny Quartz crystals develop inside cavities, creating the sparkling surface known as drusy.

This piece has subsequently undergone an Aura treatment, where a very fine metallic coating is bonded to the crystal surface to create its iridescent finish. The underlying Agate and drusy Quartz are natural while the metallic colouring is created through this treatment.

At the centre is a natural drusy pocket filled with tiny Quartz crystals which sparkle beautifully as the light moves across them. The Aura finish brings flashes of blue, green, gold, pink and violet around the polished surface while the centre remains darker and more dramatic.
