This Child's Baltic Amber Necklace is made from genuine high-grade Baltic Amber, a naturally lightweight fossilised tree resin traditionally associated with warmth, comfort, protection and positive energy. Amber jewellery has a long history of being worn by children and is often referred to as teething amber. However, there is no established scientific evidence that wearing Amber jewellery relieves teething pain and we do not sell or recommend this necklace as a medical treatment or teething remedy.

I love its warmth, both in the way it feels and in those gorgeous honey and golden tones, and there's something incredibly special about wearing a material that began as tree resin millions of years ago. It has been treasured throughout history and traditionally carries associations with warmth, positivity, protection and comforting energy.

What is Baltic Amber?

Amber isn't actually a crystal. It is ancient tree resin that has fossilised and transformed naturally over millions of years.

Baltic Amber is particularly prized and naturally contains succinic acid. You may sometimes see claims that wearing Amber against the skin allows succinic acid to be released and absorbed into the body, providing pain relief. This has not been scientifically established and should not be relied upon as a treatment for teething or any other health condition.
