What are the best crystals for protection?

One of the questions I am asked the most is 𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓬𝓻𝔂𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓼 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷?

And at this time of year, I am asked even more.

As the darker months approach in the Northern Hemisphere, the energy also changes. October welcomes Halloween / Samhain / All souls and the many other names it has around the world.

It is believed at this time of year the veil between the physical and spirit world becomes thinner. A time to communicate with ancestors no longer on this Earthly plane.

I am always fascinated that this natural shift in the year makes us feel the need to reach for a new set of crystals. Generally darker in colour, just like the season itself and all synonymous with protection. 

This year there feels like an added layer to this need for protecting and grounding ourselves. The energy is heavy, there is so much fear and many people are struggling with the density of it all.

 

It is my belief that protective crystals are essential all year round and we will always benefit from having them in our lives but as we move into the  witching seasons, as our energetic body senses the need to protect ourselves and our precious energy, these are my go to crystals of choice for protection.

 

1. Black Tourmaline

• Purpose: Grounding and protection from negative energy
