Phantoms form when a crystal's growth pauses and minerals settle upon its surface before the Quartz begins growing again, preserving that earlier stage of growth inside the finished crystal. I love how clearly you can see the story of this crystal's growth. Those phantom lines are so beautifully precise, almost as though someone has drawn them inside the Quartz. I find the symbolism of phantoms incredibly special too. We keep growing and changing but the versions of ourselves that came before don't disappear. They become part of who we are and we don't need to hide them.
