This Selenite Metatron’s Cube Charging Plate from Morocco combines the traditional cleansing properties of Selenite with one of the best-known symbols of sacred geometry. Why I Chose This Crystal

Selenite is one of my absolute essentials and it's the crystal I use most for cleansing my own crystals and jewellery. I love charging plates because they're so easy to actually use. You can simply take off the crystals you've been wearing, place them on the Selenite and leave them there overnight.

I've always been fascinated by sacred geometry too and Metatron's Cube is such an intricate and beautiful symbol. There is so much symbolism contained within that one design around balance, creation and our connection with something greater than ourselves.

I think the combination works beautifully. You have Selenite for clearing and clarity alongside a symbol that can become a focal point for meditation, crystal grids and intention setting.

What is Metatron’s Cube?

Metatron’s Cube is a sacred geometry symbol created from 13 interconnected circles and straight lines. Within its structure you can find representations of the five Platonic solids, geometric forms that have historically been associated with the building blocks and elements of the natural world.

The symbol takes its name from Archangel Metatron, who within some mystical and esoteric traditions is associated with divine wisdom, spiritual transformation and the flow of energy through creation. Metatron also appears within strands of Jewish mystical tradition although many of the associations commonly used in modern sacred geometry and angel practices developed through later esoteric traditions.

Today, Metatron’s Cube is often used as a visual focus for meditation, energy work, crystal grids and contemplation of balance, interconnectedness and creation.

Energetic Properties

These Selenite plates are hand etched with the intricate geometry of Metatron's Cube. I love the contrast between the beautiful simplicity of the white Selenite and all of the detail contained within the design.

Natural Selenite has a fibrous structure which creates its characteristic silky luminosity. As the light moves across the plate you'll see bands and fibres within the crystal shift and change.

Because the designs are etched by hand, there can be small variations in the positioning and depth of the pattern. For me, that's part of the character of a piece that has been individually made rather than something mass produced to absolute uniformity.

How to Work With This Crystal

For everyday crystal cleansing, simply place your crystals or jewellery onto the plate when you're finished using them. I particularly like leaving jewellery on Selenite overnight so it's ready to pick up and wear again the following day.

For a more intentional practice, place a crystal connected with something you're currently working towards in the centre of Metatron's Cube. You can then arrange complementary crystals around it to create a simple sacred geometry crystal grid.

You can also sit with the plate during meditation and allow your eyes to rest on the pattern, following its lines and symmetry as a way of bringing your attention back into the present moment.

Selenite should always be kept dry. It is an exceptionally soft mineral and prolonged exposure to water can damage its surface and structure.

Because these pieces are individually cut and hand etched from natural Selenite, there may be slight variations in dimensions, fibres, translucency and surface markings. The positioning and depth of the Metatron's Cube design may also vary slightly between pieces.

Selenite is exceptionally soft and can be scratched with a fingernail. Small surface marks, fine scratches, natural fibres and occasional areas of flaking can occur even with careful handling. These are characteristics of Selenite rather than necessarily being damage.

Please keep your Selenite dry and handle it with care.

Perfectly Imperfect Option

We occasionally have Selenite plates with small cosmetic imperfections such as minor chips around an edge, a slightly off-centre design or variations in the depth of the hand etching.

These pieces are still beautiful, completely usable Selenite charging plates and their cosmetic imperfections don't change how we would traditionally work with them energetically. Rather than allowing them to sit unused, we offer these pieces separately at a reduced price.

If you choose the Perfectly Imperfect variation, your plate will have one or more minor cosmetic imperfections but will otherwise be selected and packed with exactly the same care as our other crystals.
