Why I Chose This Crystal

Selenite is one of my absolute essentials and it's the crystal I use most for cleansing my own crystals and jewellery. I love pieces like this because they make that practice incredibly simple. You can take off the crystals you've been wearing, place them on the plate and leave them there overnight.

I also really love the zodiac design. So many of us first become interested in crystals through our birth sign and I think there's something lovely about bringing astrology and crystals together in one piece.

How to Work With This Crystal

For everyday crystal cleansing, simply place your crystals or jewellery onto the plate when you remove them. I particularly like doing this overnight so your favourite bracelets, pendants or smaller crystals have a dedicated place to rest when you're not using them.

You can also use the zodiac wheel more intentionally. Choose a crystal traditionally associated with your star sign and place it on the plate while setting an intention connected with something you'd like to strengthen or explore.

Alternatively, follow the zodiac through the year, changing the crystals on your plate as the Sun moves into each astrological sign.

Selenite should always be kept dry. It is an exceptionally soft mineral and prolonged exposure to water can damage its surface and structure.

Because these plates are individually cut and etched from natural Selenite, there may be slight variations in dimensions, fibres, translucency, surface markings and the positioning of the etched design.

Selenite is exceptionally soft and can be scratched with a fingernail. Small surface marks, fine scratches, natural fibres and occasional areas of flaking can occur even with careful handling. The etched design may also sit very slightly differently from piece to piece. These are characteristics of working with natural Selenite rather than necessarily being faults.

Please keep your Selenite dry and handle it with care.
